After Surya film was dropped, Gautham Menon started directing Simbhu. After completing this film, he will direct Ajith. The shooting of this film will commence on 15th February. The shooting of Simbhu- Gautham Menon's film is going in Adyar. The information regarding the heroine and music composer was not revealed so far. Now it is understood that a debutant actress Pallavi is donning the female lead role. Then there was a question that who was the music composer of the film. Gautham Menon has given his answer with regard to this in his Twitter. He has said, " A R Rahman is composing the music for the Simbhu starrer. He has completed one song. We will be shooting this song sequence from 8th December." So we can expect another hit album.

மங்காத்தா திரைப்படம் ரிலீஸாகி இரண்டு வருடங்களுக்கு பிறகு கார்த்தி நடிப்பில் வெங்கட் பிரபு இயக்கும் பிரியாணி திரைப்படத்திற்கு ரசிகர்கள் மத்தியில் கிடைத்த வரவேற்பு அமோகமான வரவேற்பு. இதை மிஞ்சும் விதத்தில் கார்த்தியின் அண்ணனான சூர்யாவுடன் அடுத்த திரைப்படத்தில் இணைகிறார் வெங்கட்பிரபு.

சூர்யா எப்போதுமே தான் நடிக்கும் திரைப்படங்களை கவனமாக தேர்வு செய்வார். தன் மனதிற்கு பிடிக்கவில்லை என்றால் அந்த திரைப்படத்திலிருந்து உடனே விலகிவிடுவார்.(கௌதம் மேனன் கூட்டணி முறிந்ததும் இந்த விதத்தில் தான்). கதைக்காக தன்னை அற்பனித்து அந்த கதாபாத்திரமாகவே மாறி ஒரு படத்தில் நடித்தால், இயல்பாகவும் ஜாலியாகவும் ஒரு திரைப்படத்தில் நடித்துவிட வேண்டும் என்பது சூர்யாவின் விருப்பம். அதனால் தான் தற்போது கமிட் ஆகியுள்ள லிங்குசாமியின் திரைப்படம் முடிந்ததும் வெங்கட்பிரபு இயக்கத்தில் நடிக்க ஒப்புக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார் என்கிறது திரையுலகம்.

வெங்கட் பிரபுவின் வழக்கமான டெக்னிகல் டீம், மியூசிக்கல் டீம்(யுவன் ஷங்கர் ராஜா) , காமெடி டீம்(பிரேம்ஜி அமரன்) என வழக்கமான பட்டாளத்துடன் களமிறங்குகிறாராம் வெங்கட் பிரபு. சூர்யாவுடன் இணைவது குறித்து டுவிட்டரில் வெங்கட் பிரபு கூறியபோது 'நீங்கள் அடுத்த படம் விஜய்யுடன் பன்றீங்க…. பன்னணும்' என விஜய் ரசிகர்கள் அன்புக் கட்டளை(!) விதிக்க 'நான் அதுக்குதான் ப்ரோ வைட் பண்ணிகிட்டு இருக்கேன்' என்று கூறியிருக்கிறார் வெங்கட் பிரபு.

Known for his bright-coloured clothing and a heavy dose of make-up, Ramarajan was once given the title of 'Makkal Nayagan' at the peak of his popularity in the early nineties. His brand of films could only have starred himself as heroes and nobody else. The last time Ramarajan directed a film was way back in 2001 and he made a comeback again with Medhai last year. After the debacle of Medhai, critics thought that the audiences had seen the last of Ramarajan especially after he got involved in an accident after the film's release. Now that he has recuperated from the accident, Ramarajan would soon be starring as hero in yet another of his comebacks in the film titled as Kumbabishekam which would have newcomer Noorya as his heroine. Soundaryan would be scoring the film's music which would be cinematographed by Anand. K.M. Pushparaj would be penning the script and directing the film whose shoot would take place in places such as Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and Kaveripattinam as the script is a rural-based one. The shoot is to commence from 9th December onwards.
